Listen- I went in to the ER after an anxiety attack the day of my maternity pictures on 6/9/24 and dilated 3 cm during my stay....never progressed further. But continued with prodromal labor until she was born! It was insane. All the pain- with no progress.

The Experience:
Put your seatbelts on...
On the evening of 6/29/2024 I went to the ER once again for regular contractions that lasted the typical 2 hours every 3-4 minutes. I was discharged that evening because I only dilated 1cm while I was there. So once again, no baby.
Fast forward to the morning of 6/30/2024. My husband and I were of course trying to progress things along....IYKYK... we were going to go golfing after we tried to get the baby out the way it got in.. we were playing a casual game of Yahtzee when the contractions started. AND F*CK they hurt. They were coming quick and steady and the pain was becoming unbearable.
I kept waiting it out though because I was terrified to get sent home again... WELLL..... after about a half hour and some tears I was begging Hunter (my husband) to take me.
I called all the people and told them "I don't know if it's real I've gone four times already, I don't want to be annoying" and all of them said "GO" because I couldn't talk I was in so much pain.
At that point I was having contractions every 60 seconds. We had a 45 minute drive ahead of us - Hunter is on the phone with the doctor- I am begging him to not let me have this baby in the car- and the doctor says "just try to get her here" BRO TRY???? NAH...GET ME THERE AND GET ME MY EPIDURAL..
Don't worry.....we made it...barely...
Hunter drops me at the doors and the first thing I say to the ER staff is "EPIDURAL." They take me upstairs and immediately are teaching me different positions, squeezing my hips, I'm crying and asking for drugs, Hunter makes it upstairs and is trying to comfort me. I am mooing like a cow and crying- still begging for drugs.. Hunter stepped out to get the nurses after I said "PLEASE DO SOMETHING GET SOMEONE"
I remember the nurses couldn't get an IV going because every time I had a contraction my veins would roll. The nurse asked me if I wanted to be checked.. I MOOOOOOED yes. She said I was ready to push, got the doctor in the room and I said "Where is my epidural"
Thats when she told me "We don't have time" I must have looked like I was going to kill her because she quickly said "we can do nitrous we can do nitrous" and I'm basically refusing to give birth. The doctor is like "well shes coming either way." Im saying I cant do it- begging my mom to make it stop.. at 1:36pm Hunter texts my bonus mom shes about to push you better get here.
Then I dissociated bc I was huffing that nitrous trying to pass out so I didn't have to do it LOL...because I was NOT giving birth without drugs. HA...instincts took over and I screamed that beautiful baby girl out with two of the most painful pushes I've ever experienced in my life and she was AMAZING..
1:38PM (two minutes after they told me to push) 6lbs 2oz and she was here. I was in love. Once again, euphoric...my sweet tiny baby girl. I was now a mom of two. My whole world once again shifted, in the best possible way.
I was absolutely smitten.
