After having my son, I "let myself go" I focused alllllllll my energy on being a mom. I am finally out of that phase! I told myself with my daughter, I would still take care of myself!
Self care is so important to me now. I almost feel slightly high maintenance.
When I say self care it is as little as 30 minutes at the gym, brushing my hair, taking a "total shower" (ladies know what that means). If I don't get to wash my face, I get so grouchy. Like that is a new me, I never gave a f*ck about my skincare routine. But that three minute routine Is a habit now! Sometimes the little boost I need to keep going, finish out that nightshift as a mom lol.
I also started going to the gym, gym rat squad. JK, I go twice a week max. But for me, that's all I need. I get my blood pumping, I set goals, I reach them (not always), but the main goal is stress release and ya girl is getting that much out of it.
I also started getting facials- shout out to my sister. Book an appointment with her at
It'll be the best hour of your life. I mean look at that glow. She massages my shoulders from where I sleep wrong all night to comfort my daughter, and the hair playing, oof, I'm already ready to go back. I go once a month and my skin has EVOLVED. Also, that's where I buy my skin care from!
